Hello
Deena has been working with vulnerable children and young people for over 13 years.
Deena studied at the University of Northampton and completed a foundation degree in Offender Management and then a full BA Hons in applied criminal justice.
Whilst studying, Deena worked for Catch 22, supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families. Wanting to gain experience in an education setting Deena was able to work as a Welfare Officer for a local primary school, there she delivered therapeutic interventions to children in need. Deena also gained a lot of experience and skills whilst volunteering with CABS (Child & Adolescent Bereavement Service)
Wanting to enhance her skills and knowledge and help others more, she then decided to go back to studying and completed her Masters in Counselling Children and Young People. Here, she learnt an integrative approach when working therapeutically as each child or young person has their own experiences and individual needs.
