By identifying and challenging negative patterns, CBT helps people cope better with issues like anxiety, depression, and stress.
Art and Creative Therapy

Art and creative Therapies are a distinct discipline that incorporates creative methods of expression. participants use creativity to express their experiences, articulate how they have been affected, and to support their emotional, and mental health needs. Art and creative therapy is really effective for individuals with a whole range of needs who find a verbal medium challenging.
Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a therapeutic approach that helps children express their feelings, thoughts, and experiences through play. It’s based on the idea that play is a natural way for children to communicate. With the support of a trained therapist, children can explore emotions, develop coping skills, and work through difficult experiences in a safe and supportive space.

DDP is a therapy designed to help children who have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, or early developmental challenges. It involves both the child and their caregiver, using safe, open, and accepting conversations to build trust and strengthen relationships. DDP helps children feel more secure and supported, improving emotional regulation and connection.
Adult Psychotherapy

Adult therapy supports individuals in understanding their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to improve wellbeing and daily functioning. It offers a safe space to explore past experiences, current challenges, and personal goals. Through talking therapies like CBT or person-centred approaches, adults can build coping strategies, boost self-awareness, and make positive changes in their lives.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing)

EMDR is a therapeutic approach that uses bi lateral stimulation to aid the processing of distressing information and memories. Unprocessed memories and feelings are stored in the limbic system and can be triggered when experiencing events similar to the difficult experiences an individual has gone through. The memory itself is often forgotten but the painful feelings such as panic, anger despair and anxiety are being triggered in the present time. EMDR helps to create connections between the brain’s memory networks enabling the brain to process a painful memory in a natural way.
Therapeutic Parenting Group – DDP informed

The focus of the group will be to develop and enhance therapeutic interactions between parents/foster carers and the children or young people they care for. Consideration will be given to understanding children’s behaviour, and ways to support this, alongside the emotional needs of the children and young people. The course is delivered by experienced psychotherapists and counsellors in an informal and supportive group environment.
Theraplay

Theraplay is a play-based therapy that focuses on building strong, healthy relationships between children and their caregivers. Using fun, structured activities, it helps develop trust, emotional connection, and self-esteem. Theraplay is especially helpful for children with attachment difficulties, trauma, or behavioural challenges, creating a sense of safety and joy in relationships.
Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) are two similar therapeutic approaches which teach techniques of self-acceptance and self understanding in order to combat unhelpful ways of thinking. CFT is most commonly used to treat those that struggle with high levels of shame and self criticism, sometimes stemming from experiences in childhood to early adulthood. These traits are commonly linked to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders. MBCT can also be used to treat high levels of shame and self-criticism, but can also be applied to issues such as depression. Differing from CFT, it places a core focus on the mind-body link and incorporates practices such as meditation and breathing exercises.
