Hello
Ioana has over 5 years of experience working with vulnerable children, young people and adults. Her career has been driven by a passion for supporting those in need and promoting mental well-being.
Ioana holds a BA in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Northampton. During her studies, she gained hands-on experience working in a variety of care settings, supporting vulnerable children, young people, adults, and the elderly. This practical exposure sparked her desire to further her knowledge in the field.
Ioana then pursued a Master’s in Counselling Children and Young People, where she trained in an integrative approach to therapy, recognising the unique needs and experiences of each individual. This advanced training has equipped her with the tools to work therapeutically with children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
While completing her Master’s, Ioana worked within a school environment, where she delivered counselling services to students, further honing her skills in working with young people. She has gained valuable experience supporting students’ mental health needs and helping them navigate personal and academic challenges.
In addition to her school-based experience whilst training, Ioana now works privately as a school counsellor, offering tailored support to students and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
Ioana has a particular interest in trauma and working with looked-after children. She has pursued ongoing professional development in these areas, continually building her knowledge and skillset to provide the most effective support possible.
