Claire is founder and Company Director of Broad Horizons and is passionate about offering service tailored to the individual client’s needs.

As a UKCP and BACP Child and Adult Psychotherapist, Claire specialises in working with trauma and dissociation with children, young people. Alongside her work with children Claire also offers therapy to adults with Dissociative Identity Disorder.

​Alongside her therapeutic practice she is a Senior Lecturer in Counselling for the University of Northampton. As well as therapy, teaching and consultation Claire is secretary of the Europe Society for Trauma and Dissociation, and Deputy Chair of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapies Executive Committee for Children, Young People and Families.

Claire has over 30 years ’ experience working therapeutically in a range of settings, including Education, health and the private sector. She is a registered Gestalt Psychotherapist, Counsellor, CBT therapist, Play Therapist and Social Worker.

 

Claire lectures, researches and publishes nationally and internationally in the field of trauma and dissociation and is midway through a PhD focusing on this subject and its impact on children, families and the team around the child.
