About Sophie...

Sophie has been working with children and young people for over 20 years and has practised as a child therapist for over 12 years.

Sophie studied at Liverpool University where she qualified as a Play Therapist, where she then went on to achieve her BAPT Accreditation.

Sophie has an extensive background of working with vulnerable children and young people. She has worked with individuals whom present with a range of issues such as Trauma, Dissociation, Experience and Witnessing of Domestic Violence, Neglect, Attachment and Relational Trauma. Within her therapy Sophie uses an eclectic range of therapeutic modalities.

Sophie has worked in a number of settings including local charity KidsAid and Local Authority Theraplay Service as well has having vast experience based in schools, women’s refuges, residential units for children with eating disorders and specialist units with children who have autism.
